Stop. Do not even think of looking any further for the best and most authentic Greek food in Palm Beach County. We've found it in a strip plaza off Lake Worth Rd. at Skorpio's II. (You can thank us later.)
Skorpio's II has been serving fresh, homemade deliciousness in this tiny treasure of a restaurant for over 20 years. Established by the Goussis family, Skorpio's II was recently acquired by Chef Edgar Aguilar who has kept the time-tested recipes in tact and has added even more deliciousness and wine offerings to their popular menu.
You won't find a better Greek Salad anywhere - complete with their out-of-this-world homemade dressing and warm pita. The Saganaki is a must - fresh tomatoes are covered with imported Kasseri cheese which is fried and then set aflame. Spanikopita (Spinach Pie) is the real deal...a generous slice with just the right amount of spinach and feta between golden layers of phyllo. And Chef Edgar's Charcoal Grilled Octopus and Baby Lamb Chops have both topped the list of Skorpio's fans favorite dishes.
Can't decide? Skorpio's Combos are the way to go, each served with their famous Greek Salad and warm pita. Love a great Gyro? It's their specialty. Looking for grilled Shish Ke-Babs? The best. And their Greek Lemon Chicken Soup (Avgolemono) is perfection.
Save room for dessert. Their Galactobureko (creamy custard pie with strudel leaves) is so insanely good that it was featured in Bon Appetit Magazine! There's homemade Rice Pudding, Baklava, and for a real sweet treat, when it's available, Chef Edgar's homemade Tiramisu is so popular that every time he makes it, it's gone in a flash. Visit this hidden gem and welcome Chef Edgar to the neighborhood. We're thinking it's gonna be a weekly stop for you if you love great Greek food!
