Maison Carlos originally opened its doors in December of 2002 on Clematis Street in downtown West Palm Beach. In 2009, owners Carlos & Lanie Farias decided to relocate a few miles south in the Antique Row neighborhood - a decision that turned out to be a wise one, since the South Dixie corridor is now becoming a hot spot for dining.
Maison Carlos is one of those true (out-in-the-open) hidden gems. It's intimate. It's warm. It's family owned and operated. By day, Carlos is shopping for the evening's fresh produce and seafood and by night, he greets you at the door. He and his staff anticipate your every need. This makes for extraordinary service.
The menu is continental with an emphasis on French and Italian cuisine. Upon being seated, you'll be greeted with a plate of their signature crispy fried Zucchini Chips. Watch out...they're addictive! Other notable dishes include Snails in a Pail (roasted with garlic, shallots, wine and Irish butter), Chicken Paillard, Scallopini di Vitello Picatta, Crispy Duck, Truffled Lobster Mac and Cheese, Shrimp & Saffron Risotto and Penne Bolognese. (Soon to come, gourmet pizza!)
The white tableclothes and minimalist decor are calming and if you're admiring the framed seascapes on the walls, all of the artwork is for sale and was painted by Lanie's father and brothers, famed Nantucket artists Robert Stark, Robert W. Stark III and Dylan B. Stark.
Carlos, Lanie, and 8 year old son Alex (who has been his father's best little helper since he was a toddler) look forward to your visit!
"I know when I go out to dinner, I go to eat good food and enjoy good service, and I like to know the staff and for them to know me. That’s pretty much what we’re about at Maison Carlos."
