Croissan'Time French Bakery & Fine Foods
French native Bernard Casse was born to bake. From the time he was a young man, all he ever longed to do was create magical pastries, buttery croissants and melt-in-your-mouth delicacies. Although he tried other pursuits, his culinary dreams kept calling him back. After years of perfecting his skills in his homeland and prestigious restaurants throughout New York and Texas, he opened Croissan'Time French Bakery in Fort Lauderdale in 1986. The shop's popularity and reputation grew, and in 2000, "Fine Foods" was added to their name.
You can’t beat a breakfast of Chef Bernard's sublime croissants, hot from the oven. Of course he’s got chocolate or almond paste-filled varieties, but check out the ones stuffed with apricots and custard, raspberries, prunes, walnuts, apples, strawberries, cinnamon, ham and cheese, or guava. Linger for a couple of hours with the newspaper, a café au lait, and a Beignet.
The deli features made to order sandwiches on freshly baked breads and croissants, stuffed with French Ham, tuna salad, pate, roast beef, and more. There are homemade sausages, freshly cut cheeses and fine wines; and, for dessert, homemade ice cream, fresh fruit pies, eclairs, cookies, cream puffs.... it's pure heaven. Broward New Times Magazine adores Croissan'Time so much that they awarded them Best Crepe, Best Croissant and Best Bakery in recent years. You might just do the same!
