Great restaurants like these are always looking for new customers! We've arranged it so you can purchase dining gift certificates at HALF PRICE. That gives you a great incentive to try something new! By looking up a restaurant's video overview and information, you can decide if you'd like to dine there, and if you do, you can purchase a dining certificate for half price. There's a limited amount each month though, and they often sell quickly, so don't hesitate if you see something you'd like to try!
LocalDines.com is fast, easy and fun! Simply find restaurants in your area (search by ZIP code to find the closest restaurants), add gift certificates to your cart, check out, print the gift certificate from your computer and you'll be dining for half price in no time - it's that easy! With the videos we have for each restaurant you get to SEE exactly what you'll get. There's no club to join, no membership fees, no coupon books, no catch. Simply purchase, print, and save money. We're confident you'll just love it.
How do I register for an account?
Before you can purchase a dining certificate for half price, you need to register for an account (it's FREE). Click on User Login located at the top of the page, then click on Register for a New Account. Enter your information in the fields, and then click on the Register button at the bottom.
IMPORTANT: When creating your LocalDines.com account, we recommend you use a password that isn't used on any other website. At a minimum, passwords should have no fewer than 8 characters - and we recommend you use a password with 13 or more characters. Make sure your password contains both numbers and upper- and lowercase letters. You should also consider mixing in special characters, including punctuation marks.
Once you've registered, you will receive an e-mail with an activation code which you must copy and paste in to the activation page. Once you accept the terms, it will direct you back to this page where you can purchase certificates or manage your profile. You will then be allowed to purchase certificates for half price on LocalDines.com.
Some fabulous deals our restaurants offer at LocalDines.com are limited to ONE (1) certificate per household. LocalDines.com must RESTRICT ACCOUNTS TO ONLY ONE (1) PER HOUSEHOLD. We must restrict the number of accounts in order for us to be fair to our customers and restaurant owners.
We verify your accounts by cross checking all new registered users against all of our current customers. We cross check both the mailing address and the billing address. If your addresses match any current customers addresses, your order will be canceled, your credit card will be refunded and your account will be suspended. We must do this in order to be fair to everyone.
So in order to prevent this from happening, please make sure you only have one account per household. Once your account has been verified you will be able to print any certificates you have purchased.
How do I find restaurants I want?
After logging into your account, you will be directed to My Account/Order History. Over to the right, you will see an area that says Find Restaurants. You can search by ZIP code, by Keyword (Italian, Mexican, Fine dining, etc.) If you know the name of the restaurant you can do a search by alphabet. And we have provided a quick location search by geographical area like Scottsdale, Phoenix, Mesa, Chandler, etc. Once you see something that interests you, click on the logo and you'll be on that restaurant's page where you can see videos, menu links, customer reviews, a complete description, and you can purchase a dining certificate for 50% off!
How do I print Gift Certificates?
You must be a verified user in order to print. Once your account has been verified you can print certificates directly from your account. Just log in to your account and click on the PRINT button next to any of the certificates you have purchased. We recommend you download each PDF and print using these files. This insures you always have a copy of the certificate on your computer.
I think it feels awkward to use a Gift Certificate. Is there another way?
If you log in to our website using your smart phone, you will have access to all your certificates. You can then present your certificate codes directly to your server by showing them the screen. If you're worried about "how it looks" when using a LocalDines.com Gift Certificate, all we can say is: don't worry - our member restaurants love LocalDines.com customers. Why? Because our philosophy is simple: life is too short to feel embarrassed about anything - especially saving money. Going out with friends and experiencing great new cuisine is what LocalDines.com is really all about.
I lost my Gift Certificate or I let it expire before I used it. Now what?
LocalDines.com and participating restaurants are NOT RESPONSIBLE for lost, stolen, misplaced or expired certificates. Please treat your certificates as you would cash! Put them in a safe place and make sure you use them before they expire! No exceptions! Please note: certificate promotional values ($10, $12.50, $15, $20, $25, $30) are valid through expiration date. The amount paid by you does not expire.
My account has been suspended! What did I do wrong?
If your account was suspended, it is very likely we have received at least three (3) or more complaints from restaurant owners about an improper use of LocalDines.com gift certificates tied to your account. Improper use of a gift certificate usually entails violating the terms of the gift certificate. For instance, insisting you can use more than one (1) gift certificate per table (even if the check is being split among members of the group and they've each brought their own gift certificate), demanding to use a gift certificate on a holiday, or chronically failing to utilize the full value of the gift certificate.
I see Dines Dollars in My Account overview. What are Dines Dollars*?
Dines Dollars are basically gift certificates towards purchases on LocalDines.com. You can give Dines Dollars as a gift, receive them as a gift, we may add them to your account because a certificate to a restaurant you purchased went out of business or changed owners and stopped accepting them. We give them out at events and people sometimes win them at events, on the radio, in our e-mail, etc. You can see how much in Dines Dollars you have available and/or add ones you have been given to your account under My Account / Dines Dollars. This will show you how much in Dines Dollars (credit) you have available and you can view details which will give you a complete history of all Dines Dollars associated with your account. If you have Dines Dollars available in your account when you go to check out, you can apply them at that time.
Do I have to pay a fee to use your service?
No. Simply choose which dining Gift Certificate(s) you would like to purchase. No club to join, no coupon book, no catch.
Can I open more than one account?
No. LocalDines.com must RESTRICT ACCOUNTS TO ONLY ONE (1) PER HOUSEHOLD. Some fabulous deals our restaurants offer at LocalDines.com are limited to ONE (1) certificate per household. We must restrict the number of accounts in order for us to be fair to our customers and restaurant owners. Our Website will cross reference your e-mail address, mailing address, and credit card shipping address with all the other customers' info in our database. If you match Addresses with any of our other customers your order will be canceled, your credit card will be credited back and your account will be suspended. To avoid this from happening, please make sure you have only one account per household, please.
I see a restaurant I like! Now what?
Once you find a restaurant you like, you can decide whether you'd like to purchase a dining certificate for 50% of the face value. If you're a brand new user, you will be prompted to open a new account when you click on the "add to cart" button. Again, there is NEVER any fee to join LocalDines.com. Once you open your account, you can add the gift certificate to your cart and check out; or keep shopping for more great restaurants! Once you checkout you will be able to print your certificates immediately if you are a verified user.
What are the restrictions on the LocalDines.com Gift Certificates?
- You may only use ONE (1) Gift Certificate per table. You may not split the check with others at your table and attempt to use each party members' Gift Certificate(s). Violations of this important restriction are reported to LocalDines.com by restaurant owners and may result in account bans.
- Certificates are valid for THREE (3) MONTHS from date of purchase. The expiration dates are printed on each Gift Certificate. Please note: certificate promotional values ($10, $12.50, $15, $20, $25, $30) are valid through expiration date. The amount paid by you does not expire.
- Certificates cannot be traded in for cash and no change will be given.
- Certificates may not be used in combination with any other coupons, certificates, or other restaurant promotions.
- LocalDines.com and participating restaurants are not responsible for lost, stolen, misplaced or expired certificates.
- Tax and gratuity is NOT included unless otherwise stated on the certificate. Please make sure you compensate your server on the TOTAL bill before discount.
Each restaurant may have its own additional restrictions, but in general this is quite rare. LocalDines.com certificates are valid for food and alcohol unless specifically stated otherwise on the certificate. Some certificates are not valid on certain days, such as major holidays. You may view any restrictions by clicking on "View Restrictions" on each individual restaurant's page on LocalDines.com. If placing your order by phone, please inquire about any restrictions for the Gift Certificates you are purchasing. We intentionally try to limit any additional restrictions, and most of the restaurants accept the Gift Certificates at any time, though most will not accept them on national holidays.
How do I pay for the Gift Certificates?
Our online Shopping Cart is very user friendly. We accept online payments with MasterCard or VISA. Your privacy and security are of the utmost importance to us. LocalDines.com is a secure and encrypted website. Please be assured that LocalDines.com will not sell or give away any information about any of its customers. You may also place your order by phone (additional phone order charges may apply) at 1-866-379-DINE (3463).
How and when will I receive the Gift Certificates?
You can choose to print your certificates right away, e-mail them to a friend or have them snail mailed (additional $2.00 shipping charge). We process snail mail orders daily and customers usually have their Gift Certificates within 1-4 days. They are mailed via US Postal Service. You can also access your purchased Gift Certificates on the mobile version of LocalDines.com. Simply visit us using your smart phone and log in. You can show your server your Gift Certificate code when you pay for your meal - no printing is required.
How much do you charge for processing?
LocalDines.com charges a 4% Tranasction Processing Fee with a minimum Transaction Process Fee of $1.00 (additional phone order and snail mail charges may apply).
What happens if I buy a Gift Certificate and the restaurant goes out of business before I am able to use it?
The "Customer Service" tab under "My Account" can extend or issue credits for most certificates. Or simply send an email to info@LocalDines.com with your name, e-mail address, restaurant name, and certificate number. We will apply a credit of equal value to your account. Credits will AUTOMATICALLY be applied to your next order(s). You can then purchase a gift certificate to another restaurant using your credit. Sorry, no cash refunds.
