Located at Young Circle in the Heart of Hollywood, the Sushi Room offers a true taste of Japan with world renowned Sushi Chefs from Miami, Manhattan and direct from Japan!
Brothers Tommy & Joey Franco, the owners of Mama Mia, right next door, opened the upscale Sushi Room in 2004 with a chic factor that would rival any of the hip sushi joints in South Beach. This little 14-table room is beautifully composed. They hired a New York designer to pull together the white Louis Vuitton slipcovers and tabletops, ethereal fluorescent lighting, flat-screen TVs running simultaneous video clips, and a DJ booth floating above it all. The total effect is very, very cool. Between the acrylic, backlit seats and the parade of beautiful people, it may just cause the weak to have sensory overload.
On the menu, you'll find cold and hot dishes that include Crunchy Rolls, Cucumber Out Rolls, Sushi & Sashimi, Tempura, Fresh Whole Fish, Japanese Curry and Fried Noodles. There are Hot Pot Dinner choices of Sukiyaki, Shabu Sahub and Yosenabe along with some of the most unique dishes you will find this side of Tokyo. For the less adventurous, you will love the full menu of Stone Grill Entrees featuring beef, seafood and lobster. Not sure what type of Sake pairs well? Don't worry. Sushi Room's menu offers the perfect pairing for the dish of your choice.
If you can't handle the luxury that is Daiginjo sake, foie gras mousse and Beluga caviar, at least start off with a simple roll or two, go outside for a breath of fresh air, and pay a visit to the bar. There, you can taste nearly 40 different flavors of sake while a DJ spins tunes nightly. Ahh, shakin' booties, sushi, and sake. What more could one want?"
