It’s a cute, tiny eaterie in the heart of downtown Miami that features authentic Columbian dishes including the official dish of the Antioquia region of Colombia, Bandeja Paisa. This dish is bona-fide meat-fest and some describe it as “the best food on the planet!”. Fans of the beloved dish will run right down to El Cartel to get a taste of home…and true carnivores who haven’t tasted it yet will want to put it on their list of “must try” dishes.
Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, El Cartel’s menu runs the gamit. Breakfast is a bargain with delicious three egg Tortillas (Omelets), Arepas, and Caletados running about $5 or less. There’s a host of appetizers on the lunch menu including Tamales, Chorizo con Arepa, and Empanadas if you just want a quick bite…or sink your teeth into a Media Noche Sandwich for an explosion of South American flavors.
Dinner is a real treat, and so are the prices. A succulent Churrasco, fresh Seafood dishes and tasty Chicken recipes can run as little as $10! Homemade Sancocho Soup is another authentic Columbian comfort food not to be missed. The Lounge Menu is extremely diverse! Order multiple plates and share with friends while sipping on a cool libation and you’ve got a trip to South America without even leaving the states.
