Author and Restaurateur Frank Reider hosts and educates as guests sample 4 wines, each with appropriate food pairings. See why Malbec is bursting on the scene as the hottest wine around; taste buttery white Sauvignon Blanc, big body Carmenere, long, smooth Chardonnay, and the biggest surprise of all, a flowery white Torrontes from Northern Argentina. The brands will vary and so will the varietals, with luscious Cabernet Sauvignons and other varietals making their appearances. Wholesale prices for purchase will be available.

About Mr. Reider
Frank Reider writes regularly on wine for various magazines and has traveled extensively through South America. He has owned and run five star hotels in Brazil, after being an executive at Chase Manhattan Bank. He is also the owner of GOL! Taste of Brazil.
Working with representatives from wine distributors, Frank began to taste South American wines and found many gems, leading to a growing admiration for the talent, dedication, and passion of South American winemakers. He believes they have carved out a place for themselves in the world market by investing in education and creating great quality wines at affordable prices-- factors which seduced even traditional European wine houses to invest in the wines of Chile and Argentina for their optimal hang time and the country's terroir; the perfect setting for talented wine makers to showcase their creativity by developing subtle and complex wines. Frank transformed his knowledge of Chilean and Argentinean wines in to a book, "Wines of Passion: The Best of South America", available at www.franklinreider.com.

GOL! The Taste of Brazil is proud to present an eclectic, delicious wine list with a strong emphasis on Latin wines from Chile, Argentina, Spain, Brazil and Portugal, as well as magnificent wines from the United States, France and Italy.
The magnificent glassed-in wine cellar maintains our fine wines at a constant 60 degrees to guarantee appropriate aging and maintenance until the bottle is decanted at the client's table. We decant all our wines, not just the most expensive. This allows the wine to "breathe" and reach its full potential. We use only Riedel glasses and decanters.
GOL! features wines rarely tasted in the United States that are true jewels from around the world. For instance, we have the country's best collection of wines made from the Carmenere grape found in Chile. This grape was planted in Chile more than 50 years ago by French vineyards and forgotten by the world. The Rothschild family rediscovered this varietal some years ago when a plague wiped out the original Carmenere planting in France. Today, Chile is the only place in the world to produce this magnificent wine and the selection found at GOL! will surprise those not yet familiar with this grape.
